What can Wellesley do for Japan

A 9.0-magnitude earthquake and the following devastating tsunami hit Japan in the afternoon of Mar.11th. The death toll from the tsunami and the earthquake is the highest ever recorded in Japan. Hundreds of people have died and thousands are still missing.

Wellesley College Japan Club believes that this is the time for us to all rise up in support of all the victims in Japan. This blog is created to:
1. raise awareness of the issue
2. coordinate and publicize events related to the incident, including donation drives.

Everyone can play a part in this. You do not need to be Japanese. You do not need to be a member of Japan Club. All you need to have is a heart that cares. And informing yourself about the incident is the first step to take.
